This was our first time at Toronto Fashion Week, our first time attending a fashion show of this magnitude, and our first time really getting out there and talking to SO many bloggers, stylists, buyers, merchandisers, and just down right amazing people! Such a rush!
We were lucky enough to attend the shows on both Day 2 and Day 5, thanks to a very good friend of ours Catherine. After a bit of a taste, you can only imagine how zealous we were that we weren’t able to be in attendance the entire week. None the less, here are a few shots of us at the tents! Out of the designers we saw, one of the first and also one of our favourites was David Dixon!
David Dixon was all about women empowerment! The show began with a video where a woman was frowned upon when making a comment in regards to the gentlemen’s conversation. Showcasing that women should not speak for we do not know half of what men know. Men are smarter than us but then the screen shatters and says ‘bullshit!’ It was probably one of the best openings I (J) saw from all the shows that we watched. The one aspect that really popped from Dixon’s show was the neck feature of all the feathers! I absolutely adored it! I could really see this being a trend for next fall. I know I’ll be rocking it! 🙂
David Dixon’s show was definitely very empowering. The music was enticing (insert Run The World by Beyonce here) and the models looked and felt so comfortable and sexy in his clothing. The strong lines of blacks and whites, the pop of cobalt blue, and who can forget about those stunning crystalized accessories in everything from earrings, ear cuffs, necklaces and bracelets. Such a fantastic finishing touch to these sophisticated, yet edgy looks. Here are a few shots of us enjoying the tents after the show 🙂

Hope you are all doing fabulous! Aren’t you excited for this snow to be finally gone? I cannot wait to stop wearing my coat and show off all the spring styles that are currently being kept in the corner of my closet haha. I try wearing it out time to time but I end up getting so cold plus I get the ol’ “isn’t it too cold for you to be wearing that?” Ha! Anyways, darlings now that hibernation season is coming to an end I am so ecstatic to get the fun colours out and finally be able to wear a flat or two outside.
Talk soon! 🙂

Remember back in the day when Clueless became our high school bible? Where we traded in hottie and gorgeous for Baldwin and Betty? Where whenever we would get offended we’d shriek ‘AS IF’? Just as Cher Horowitz did. Oh yes! Those were the days where I’d imagine my father would purchase a car for me when I was able to get my license and I had too high standards to date high school boys! Haha ohh I always thought of myself as a Cher but my friends said I was Dionne due to my skin tone but I’m Cher at heart. Well ATTENTION all Clueless fans! Wildfox has released their Spring 2013 collection and its been inspired by Clueless!!
Here are a few photos from their lookbook:
Tai: I could really use some sort of herbal refreshment.
Dionne: Oh, well we do lunch in ten minutes. We don’t have any tea, but we have Coke and stuff.
Tai: No shit. You guys got Coke here?
Dionne: Well, yeah.
Cher: Yeah, this is America.
Cher: So okay, I don’t want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don’t get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair – ew – and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we’re expected to swoon? I don’t think so.
Not going to lie I’ll probably definitely pick up a couple of pieces from Wildfox! I can’t wait til it hits stores 🙂

Hola mi amor’s
This tiny photo op was completely unplanned. My beaux was in town for 2 days and we headed up to Yonge and Lawrence for some brunch. We ended up walking past this park that I’ve been intending to have some pictures taken at for awhile now ( I don’t know how I forgot that we would be and I didn’t plan appropriately ) None the less, I never leave the house without camera in tow, and these babies survived the outcome of my forgetfulness. I’m wearing a few basics that pretty much every girl has in her closet. White linen tee, dark denim and sandals. Lawrence Park is so beautiful. It still shocks me how much I haven’t seen in my own backyard, and this park is a keeper. Well kept, bike and hiking paths, beautiful flowers and trees everywhere, and this beautiful stone staircase! I am pretty smitten with Yonge and Lawrence as an area in itself to be honest. Definitely a permanent photo shoot spot. Where are yours?
Have you guys already started researching all the fall trends? Here’s one of them! The envelope clutch and who does envelope clutches better than Celine? No one.
Kathleen and I will be updating you all on fall trends this coming season! Stay tuned. 🙂
Let me just say my purse obsession is no longer. Probably because I will not settle for anything less than Prada or YSL, even Givenchy for that matter. I’m all about the classics so I will dish the money for a classic piece that will last me a lifetime. Yes, Chanel is on my classic list too but now I’m just getting greedy. Regardless, I’ve found myself in love.. with HEELS. I am truly, undeniably, passionately OBSESSED with heels. I cannot stop looking at all the beautiful heels that are blooming this spring. Check out my current faves that are a) classic b) the current spring trend
What do Keri Hilson, Justin Beiber and Karl Lagerfeld have in common? Apparently, apart from being extremely talented, they all are in love with the Shamballa bracelet trend that has been spotted everywhere! I’ve noticed them more on men with the classic black or white encrusted “balls”, however all colors have begun to trend on both men and women.
These powerful Shamballa Bands are meant to symbolize peace, tranquillity, happiness and above all – the Oneness of us all. Who knew? I wasn’t too into it at first, until I found this white and rose gold toned bracelet at…Shoppers Drug Mart! I know! It was extremely random, but there it was in a jewelry case calling my sweet sweet name. I went in for deodorant and left with a great accessory that looks phenom beside my MK watch! It cost me $24. How do you feel about the Shamballa trend?
